Rustic Heritage Springs wedding photos with Lauren and Nathan by Dallas wedding photographer Laura Miller.
Life as a Dallas wedding photographer has been pretty hectic, in the best way possible. My awesome little business is doing better than I ever could have imagined, so I’ve been shooting and editing until the cows come home. Then once that happens, I just grab some coffee so I can do it again because I’m blessed and obsessed! haha I’ve been wanting to share this wedding for ages and I finally have a moment to spare so here it is!
Over the planning process with each couple, I am fortunate enough to get to meet lots of their family and friends, not just on the wedding day, but before the wedding. With this wedding, I got to meet the bride’s family multiple times before the wedding day and I just fell in love with these people. They’re the most sweet, Southern, warm-hearted, welcoming and incredibly genuine bunch… the kind of people who have never met a stranger in their lives. They immediately made me feel so at home around them, it made me feel like more than just a Dallas wedding photographer… they made me feel like family. Getting to know them made documenting this wedding so special because I was humbled to get to photograph such wonderful people.
You guys may remember Lauren and Nathan from their engagement session a few posts back. While I’m mainly a Dallas wedding photographer, I absolutely love to shoot weddings and sessions anywhere and everywhere you want to take me! In this case, just North of DFW in Anna, Texas at Heritage Springs. Their stunning rustic wedding was decorated with tons of handmade creations from Lauren’s mom Melinda and assembled on the wedding day with the help of coordinator Lacey Bradshaw. Flowers and officiating were done by friends, and the most wonderful party was put on by DJ Andy Austin. When I found out Andy Austin was DJing this wedding, I had a fangirl moment and nearly died. He is one of the absolute best DJs in the industry and will have even the most “non dancing” of crowds up on their feet. You would have had NO idea that this was a Thursday wedding by the looks of Andy’s dance floor. Everyone had the best time, and this oh-so-deserving couple were hitched in one of the most love filled days I’ve seen. It was a challenge to narrow down these images for a blog post, so bear with me. I went a little crazy. haha
